Beyond Words
Making art from my handwoven textiles was an epiphany for me in two keyways. First, working with fiber materials incorporates so many of my favorite, life-long processes. And second, putting these media limitations on myself as an artist gave me the direction and confidence to follow my own path.
This series begins with my visual representation of words from the Scriptures and continues with quiet reflection and meditation.

Rocks Will Cry Out
When Jesus was being highly praised by large crowds, the Pharisees asked Him to rebuke them. “I tell you, He replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” (Luke 19:40)
I often think of this verse living in a state known for its rocks! Everywhere! And in so many beautiful, interesting and different shapes, colors, and sizes. For me, the stones do cry out, praising the Creator of all.
